Reflow soldering ovens are the most critical soldering equipment in SMT (surface mount technology) production lines. They are widely used in the assembly of PCBs (printed circuit boards) across industries such as electronics manufacturing, automotive electronics, telecommunications equipment, and consumer electronics. Reflow soldering ovens heat solder paste to its melting point through preheating, soldering, and cooling zones, ensuring that surface-mount components are reliably bonded to the PCB pads. Modern reflow soldering ovens are evolving toward higher throughput and greater versatility, resulting in increasingly compact interior spaces.
In the daily operation of reflow soldering ovens, opening and closing the oven lid is the most frequent action during equipment maintenance, PCB loading and unloading, and troubleshooting. Traditional manual opening methods are not only labor-intensive but also pose a risk of burns due to the oven's large size and heavy weight. Our linear actuators are precision drive components specifically designed for the automatic opening and closing of reflow soldering oven lids. By receiving commands from the equipment's control system, the actuators precisely control the lifting, lowering, and angle adjustment of the oven lid. In a typical design, two electric linear actuators are mounted on the front of the oven body, and two support brackets are mounted on the back. When the actuators extend synchronously, the oven lid opens to an angle of approximately 18 degrees, with the rear support bracket serving as the pivot point. The actuators are delivered as individual components, featuring built-in Hall sensors that integrate with the customer's control system. The actuator system is simple, has low maintenance costs, and offers a long service life, significantly enhancing the equipment's stability and reliability.

Key features and benefits
Synchronized control of multiple actuators ensures smooth lifting and lowering of the oven lid
Reflow soldering oven lids can be up to 1.6 meters wide and are typically driven synchronously by two or more actuators. Our linear actuators support precise synchronized control of multiple actuators—by coordinating the timing and stroke of each actuator via control boxes or the customer's control system, we ensure the oven lid remains level and does not tilt during the lifting and lowering process. This synchronization capability fundamentally eliminates issues such as oven lid tilting or jamming caused by inconsistent movement of actuators on one side.
Precise stroke control enables stepless positioning of the oven lid
The lid of a reflow soldering oven requires precise control of its opening angle to meet different operational needs—a small opening angle for routine maintenance and a large opening angle for loading and unloading PCBs. Our linear actuators provide precise stroke control and extremely high repeatability, allowing the lid to stop precisely at any angle. The trajectory of each opening and closing motion is completely consistent, ensuring that operators always enjoy a stable and reliable operating experience.
High protection rating: confidently withstands high temperatures and flux environments
During operation, the interior of a reflow soldering oven reaches extremely high temperatures, and volatile flux fumes can cause corrosion to the equipment. Our linear actuators are constructed from high-temperature-resistant materials and feature a high protection rating, providing full resistance to harsh operating conditions such as high temperatures, flux vapors, and dust. The aluminum housing and anti-corrosion treatment ensure stable operation throughout the entire lifecycle of the reflow soldering oven.
Long service life and maintenance-free operation to reduce equipment downtime risks
Reflow soldering ovens are typically production equipment that operates continuously 24/7, and any downtime can result in significant losses in production capacity. Our linear actuators feature a maintenance-free design that requires no hoses, pumps, or compressors, completely eliminating the risk of hydraulic oil leaks and associated maintenance hassles. Validated through tens of thousands of endurance tests, they ensure stable operation throughout the equipment's entire lifecycle, minimizing maintenance requirements.
Built-in Hall sensors enable precise control for customers
Our actuators feature built-in Hall sensors that provide real-time feedback on stroke position and operational status via pulse signals. This allows customers' control systems to precisely monitor the real-time opening and closing angles of the oven lid, enabling accurate closed-loop control and fault early warning. The real-time feedback from the Hall sensors provides a precise positional reference for synchronized control of multiple actuators, ensuring that every opening and closing cycle is executed with pinpoint accuracy.
Fast response for improved equipment operational efficiency
The frequency at which the reflow soldering oven lid opens and closes directly impacts the production line's changeover efficiency and maintenance efficiency. Our linear actuators feature sufficient lifting speed, resulting in an extremely short time from when the control system issues a command to when the lid reaches its target position. This effectively shortens the equipment's operating cycle and enhances overall production efficiency.
